Purpose: This study is to conceptualize emotional safety among construction site workers as a multidimensional construct and to empirically examine the structural relationships between emotional intelligence sub-factors, performance, and safety behaviors. To achieve this objective, a questionnaire Method: Survey was conducted with construction site workers, and confirmatory factor analysis was employed to verify the reliability and validity of the measurement instruments. Subsequently, structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to estimate the structural relationships and path coefficients among the components of emotional safety. The analysis results indicate that the proposed research model satisfies the recommended goodness-of-fit criteria, thereby confirming its structural validity. In particular, positivity exhibited the strongest positive effect on performance, while performance played a significant mediating role by enhancing safety behaviors and reducing unsafe behaviors. Result: Emotional safety was found not to function as a direct determinant of safety behavior, but rather as a core psychological foundation that promotes safety behavior through the mediating effect of performance. This study contributes to the theoretical extension and practical applicability of Conclusion: Construction safety management strategies by elucidating the structural operating mechanism of emotion-based safety management.

연구목적: 건설현장 관계자의 감성지능 하위요인이 성과와 안전 관련 행동에 미치는 구조적 관계를 실 증적으로 규명하는 데 있다. 연구방법: 건설현장 근로자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 확인적 요인분석을 통해 측정도구의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 이후 구조방정식모형(SEM)을 적용하여 감성안전 구성요인 간 구조적 경로와 성과의 역할을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 제안된 연구모형은 적합도 기준을 충족하여 구조적 타당성이 확보되었으며, 감성안전 하위요인 중 긍정성은 성과에 가장 큰 정(+) 의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(β=0.468). 또한 성과는 잠재변수로 설정되어 안전행동과 불안전행 동을 측정하는 지표로 구성되었으며, 성과에서 안전행동으로의 경로는 매우 높은 정(+)의 계수를 보였 고(β=0.985), 불안전행동 지표 역시 유의한 적재계수를 나타냈다(β=0.683). 이러한 결과는 감성안전 이 안전행동을 직접 설명하기보다는, 성과를 매개로 안전 관련 행동 지표에 간접적으로 반영되는 구조를 갖는다는 점을 시사한다. 결론: 본 연구는 감성 기반 안전관리의 구조적 작동 메커니즘을 제시함으로써 건설현장 휴먼에러관리 전략 수립 에 기초자료를 제공한다.
