- This study compared the effect of oral environmental conditions on oral health-related quality of life in patients equipped with prosthetics using OHIP-14. The following results were obtained by evaluating general characteristics, oral health status, and quality of life through a survey and oral examination of the final 148 subjects. As a result of the analysis by area of OHIP-14, physical discomfort and functional restrictions were the main factors in the deterioration of quality of life, as the highest scores were found in the areas of physical pain and dysfunction. According to gender, men scored significantly higher in the areas of dysfunction, mental discomfort, and physical disability than women (p<0.05). As the number of teeth removed increases, the score in the most OHIP areas increases, and it is confirmed that tooth loss directly affects the quality of life. In addition, the subjects who use dentures showed high quality of life scores in various areas, showing a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). Oral experts and researchers show that continuous research focusing on oral management and function recovery is necessary to improve the quality of life of patients with prosthetics.

- 본 연구는 보철물을 장착한 환자를 대상으로 구강환경 상태가 구강건강 관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 OHIP-14를 이용하여 비교하였다. 최종 148명을 대상으로 설문조사와 구강검사를 통해 일반적 특성, 구강건강 상 태 및 삶의 질을 평가하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. OHIP-14 영역별 분석 결과, 신체동통과 기능장애 영역에 서 가장 높은 점수를 보여 신체적 불편과 기능적 제한이 삶의 질 저하의 주요 요인으로 나타났다. 성별에 따라서 는 남자가 여자보다 기능장애, 정신불쾌, 신체장애 영역에서 유의하게 높은 점수를 보였다(p<0.05). 발거 치아 수 가 많을수록 대부분의 OHIP 영역 점수가 증가하여 치아 상실이 삶의 질에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인 되었다. 또한 틀니를 사용하는 대상자는 여러 영역에서 삶의 질 점수가 높게 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나 타났다(p<0.05). 구강관련 전문가와 연구자들은 보철 장착 환자의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 지속적인 구강관리와 기능 회복 중심의 연구가 필요함을 보여준다.
