This study analyzed the effects of an AI robot education program utilizing LEGO bricks on elementary school students' creative problem solving skills. With the growing adoption of AI and robotics in education, learners' ability to define and creatively solve problems is emerging as a key competency for future society. An AI robot education program was conducted with elementary school students. The experimental group used LEGO bricks, while the control group used a pre-built robot kit. The analysis revealed that both groups improved their creative problem solving skills, but the experimental group using the LEGO program showed greater improvement. Statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups in terms of divergent thinking and motivational factors. This finding suggests that the unstructured manipulative activities of LEGO bricks stimulate learners' idea generation and intrinsic motivation, thereby enhancing their creative problem-solving skills. This study provides empirical evidence that AI robot education utilizing LEGO bricks significantly enhances learners' creative problem solving skills, and can serve as a foundation for designing instructional strategies for elementary school AI robot education.

본 연구는 레고(LEGO)를 활용한 인공지능 로봇 교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 창의적 문제해결력에 미치는 효과 를 분석하였다. 인공지능과 로봇 융합교육이 확대되는 현 시점에서, 학습자가 스스로 문제를 정의하고 창의적으로 해결하는 능력은 미래 사회의 핵심 역량으로 주목받고 있다. 초등학생을 대상으로 실험집단에는 레고를 활용하고, 비교집단에는 완성형 로봇 교구를 활용하여 인공지능 로봇 교육을 진행하였다. 창의적 문제해결력은 분석 결과, 두 집단 모두 향상되었으나 레고 활용 프로그램을 적용한 실험집단의 향상 폭이 더 컸으며, 특히 확산적 사고와 동기적 요소에서 두 집단간 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이는 레고의 비구조화된 조작 활동이 학습자의 아이디어 생성력과 내적 동기를 자극하여 창의적 문제해결력을 강화한 결과로 해석된다. 본 연구는 레고를 활용한 인공지능 로봇 교육이 학습자의 창의적 문제해결력 향상에 유의한 영향을 미친다는 실증적 근거를 제시함으로써, 초등 인공지능 로봇 교육의 교수·학습 설계를 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다.
