This pilot study assessed how radiologic technologists perceive their opportunity to be involved in the area of sports medicine. Nine participants who had an average of more than eleven years of experience as radiologic technologists completed a cross-sectional survey that was validated using content validity assessments (S-CVI/Ave = 0.86; α = 0.891). Participants were very consistent in agreement regarding imaging suitability for monitoring interventions during exercise (Mean = 4.33; SD = 0.47) and that participating with an exercise prescription team would enhance clinical precision (Mean = 4.11; SD = 0.57). However, participants identified educational gaps in this area(Mean = 3.22; SD = 1.13), and barriers that hindered their involvement included lack of recognition among other professions (inter-professionally) (n = 4), and lack of administrative support within institutions(n = 2). These preliminary findings suggest that while radiologic technologists recognize opportunities to participate in sports medicine, considerable barriers remain, including curriculum development, certification programs, and public policy initiatives.

본 연구는 방사선사가 스포츠 의학 분야에 참여할 수 있는 기회에 대해 어떻게 인식하는지를 평가한 예비 연구이 다. 평균 11년 이상의 경력을 보유한 9명의 방사선사가 내용 타당도 평가(S-CVI/Ave = 0.86; α = 0.891)를 통해 검증된 단면 설문 조사를 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 참가자들은 운동 중 중재 반응 모니터링에 대한 영상 의학의 적합성 (Mean = 4.33; SD = 0.47)과 운동 처방 팀 참여가 임상적 정밀도를 향상시킬 것이라는 점(Mean = 4.11; SD = 0.57)에 대해 높은 일치도를 보였다. 그러나 해당 분야의 교육적 공백(Mean = 3.22; SD = 1.13)이 확인되었으며, 참여를 저해하는 주요 장벽으로 타 직종 간의 인식 부족(n = 4)과 의료 기관 내 행정적 지원 미비(n = 2)가 지적되었다. 이러한 결과는 방사선사가 스포츠 의학 참여 기회를 긍정적으로 인식하고 있음에도 불구하고, 이를 실현하기 위해서는 커리큘럼 개발, 전문 자격 프로그램 및 공공 정책 이니셔티브를 포함한 상당한 장벽이 여전히 존재함을 시사한다.
