This study conducted a SWOT analysis of the Chinese Wushu Sanda industry to examine the interactions between its internal strengths and weaknesses and the external opportunities and threats, thereby deriving a set of strategic development directions. The analysis revealed that the industry possesses substantial cultural and technical assets, providing strong potential for international expansion based on traditional Chinese martial arts. Furthermore, recent national policies promoting the sports industry and revitalizing traditional culture offer favorable conditions for the growth of Sanda. However, structural limitations—such as a rigid management system, insufficient professional talent, low spectator appeal in competition rules, and inadequate marketing—continue to hinder the industry’s competitiveness. In addition, rapid changes in the global combat sports market, characterized by star-driven IP business and digital entertainment-oriented promotion, present notable external challenges. The strategic analysis indicates that sustainable development of the Sanda industry requires a balanced implementation of SO, ST, WO, and WT strategies, allowing the sector to enhance its strengths, address structural weaknesses, leverage emerging opportunities, and mitigate external threats. Overall, the findings highlight the need for a coordinated transformation that preserves traditional characteristics while strengthening modern competitive capabilities.

이 연구는 중국 우슈산타 산업을 대상으로 SWOT 분석을 실시하여 산업의 내부·외부 환경을 종합적으로 진단하 고 발전 전략을 제시하였다. 분석 결과, 우슈산타 산업은 전통문화 기반과 기술 체계 등 강한 내적 자원을 보유하고 있으며, 정부의 스포츠 진흥 정책과 전통문화 부흥은 산업 성장에 유리한 기회로 작용한다. 그러나 경직된 관리 체계, 관람성 낮은 경기 규칙, 전문 인재 부족, 미흡한 홍보·마케팅 등 구조적 약점이 산업 경쟁력을 제약하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 글로벌 격투 시장의 빠른 변화와 스타 선수 중심의 경쟁 심화는 산타산업에 외부적 위협으로 작용한다. 이에 따라 SO·ST·WO·WT 전략을 균형 있게 추진하여 강점 강화, 약점 보완, 기회 활용, 위협 대응을 동시에 모색해야 하며, 이를 통해 우슈산타 산업의 지속 가능한 성장과 국제 경쟁력 강화를 도모할 수 있다.
