This study examined the effects of a 12-week resistance exercise program and a graston and combined resistance exercise on immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA, IgM) and BDNF in middle-aged women with cervical scapular myofascial pain syndrome. Nineteen participants were randomly assigned to either a resistance exercise group or a graston and combined resistance exercise group. After 12 weeks, significant time × group interactions were found for IgG and IgA: IgG increased in the resistance exercise group but decreased in the graston and combined resistance exercise group, while IgA showed the opposite pattern. No significant changes were observed in IgM or BDNF. These findings suggest that resistance exercise and the Graston Technique elicit different immune responses, indicating that exercise modality may play a role in improving immune function in middle-aged women with myofascial pain.

본 연구는 경견부 근막통증증후군을 가진 중년여성을 대상으로 12주간 저항운동과 그라스톤 병행운동이 면역글로 불린(IgG, IgA, IgM) 및 BDNF에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 총 19명의 대상자를 두 집단으로 무선배정하여 12주간 중재를 실시한 결과, IgG와 IgA에서 시기×집단 상호작용이 나타났다. 저항운동군은 IgG가 증가하고 IgA가 감소한 반면, 그라스톤 병행군은 IgG가 감소하고 IgA가 증가하였다. IgM과 BDNF는 유의한 변화가 없었다. 이러한 결과는 운동 형태에 따라 서로 다른 면역반응이 나타날 수 있음을 시사하며, 중년여성의 근막통증 개선을 위한 운동 처방 시 중재 유형의 선택이 중요함을 보여준다.
