This study analyzed the effects of self-care on life satisfaction and the mediating effect of self-efficacy among older adults participating in a senior employment program. A survey was conducted with 407 older adults residing in Jeollanam-do, using scales measuring self-care, self-efficacy, and life satisfaction. The data were analyzed through a structural equation model (SEM). The results showed that self-care had a significant positive effect on both self-efficacy and life satisfaction. In addition, self-efficacy partially mediated the relationship between self-care and life satisfaction. These findings indicate that self-care functions as a psychosocial resource that contributes to enhancing the quality of life in older adults. Furthermore, the study suggests that senior employment programs should go beyond providing income support to also consider strengthening internal factors such as self-care and self-efficacy.

본 연구는 노인일자리사업 참여자를 대상으로 자기돌봄이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향과 자기효능감의 매 개효과를 분석하였다. 전라남도에 거주하는 노인 407명을 대상으로 자기돌봄, 자기효능감, 삶의 만족도 척도를 활 용하여 설문을 실시하였고, 구조방정식모형을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과, 자기돌봄은 자기효능감과 삶의 만족도에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 자기효능감은 자기돌봄과 삶의 만족도 사이에서 부분 매개효과를 나타냈다. 이는 자기돌봄이 노인의 심리사회적 자원으로서 삶의 질 향상에 기여함을 보여주었다. 또한, 노인일자리사업은 단순한 소득 지원을 넘어 자기돌봄 및 자기효능감과 같은 개인내적 요인을 강화하는 방향도 고려해야 함을 시사한다.
