In Korea, some local government on the east sea has developed various products by using the deep sea water. One of the main issues related to the development of products using deep ocean water is how to set the price. Setting prices should be based on consumer preferences. This study seeks to provide implications in terms of analysis methodology by utilizing non-parametric estimation methodology in calculating willingness to pay. Overall, the survey was relatively successful in eliciting WTP values. Especially, this study employed the nonparametric approach which is robust to the distribution. The non-parametric estimate of WTP for the bottled water with the deep sea water ranges from 182.22 Korean Won to 217.91 Korean Won. The intermediate value is 194.72.
