This study aimed to evaluate the moisturizing functionality of berry extracts with high antioxidant activity, including acai berry, blueberry, and mulberry. The berry extracts were obtained through hot water extraction using a reflux condenser in combination with ethanol solvent extraction, and subsequently incorporated into a cream base to formulate test samples. Moisturizing capacity, gloss, and sensory evaluations were conducted to examine the potential applicability of these extracts as cosmetic ingredients. The results demonstrated that creams containing berry extracts exhibited significantly enhanced moisturizing effects and gloss compared to the control group. In particular, blueberry extract showed the most pronounced moisturizing efficacy, while acai berry extract contributed notably to antioxidant activity. These findings suggest that berry extracts hold strong potential as safe and functional natural cosmetic materials, and may provide fundamental data for future applied research.

본 연구는 아사이베리, 블루베리, 오디 등 항산화 활성이 우수한 베리류 추출물을 활용하여 보습제 기능성을 평가하고자 하였다. 베리류 추출물은 환류냉각 장치를 이용한 열수추출법과 에탄올 용매추출법을 병행하여 확보하 였으며, 크림 베이스에 첨가하여 제형을 개발하였다. 이후 보습도, 광택도, 관능 평가 등을 통해 화장품 원료로서의 활용 가능성을 검토하였다. 실험 결과, 베리류 추출물을 첨가한 크림은 보습력 및 광택도에서 대조군 대비 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 특히 블루베리 추출물 적용 시 가장 우수한 보습 효과가 확인되었다. 본 연구는 베리류 추출물이 안전하고 기능적인 천연 화장품 소재로서 활용 가능성이 높음을 제시하며, 향후 다양한 응용 연구의 기초자료가 될 수 있다.
