[Purpose] This study aims to analyze the role of park golf in an aging society and explore strategies for its promotion in South Korea [Method] To achieve this, the current status and challenges of park golf were examined in terms of infrastructure, policy support, public perception, and community engagement. [Result] The study identified key obstacles to the widespread adoption of park golf, including a lack of infrastructure, insufficient policy support, the perception that park golf is exclusively for the elderly, and high entry barriers for new participants. To address these issues, the study suggests expanding park golf infrastructure using public spaces, increasing government funding and policy support, implementing targeted promotional strategies for younger generations and families, and fostering community networks through regional cooperation. [Conclusion] This research highlights the potential of park golf as a means of facilitating intergenerational interaction and revitalizing local communities. It provides practical recommendations for policymakers and sports administrators to enhance the accessibility and sustainability of park golf in South Korea. Future studies should incorporate comparative analyses of international cases and quantitative research to develop more concrete strategies.

[목적] 본 연구는 이러한 고령화 사회에서 파크골프가 가지는 역할과 국내 활성화를 위한 방안을 분석하는 데 목적 을 둔다. [방법] 이를 위해 파크골프의 현황과 문제점을 시설 및 인프라, 정책적 지원, 대중적 인식, 커뮤니티 활성화 측면에서 고찰하였다. [결과] 연구 결과, 국내 파크골프 활성화를 저해하는 주요 요인은 시설 부족과 정책적 지원 미 비, "노인 스포츠"라는 고정관념, 그리고 신규 참여자들의 진입 장벽이었다. 이를 해결하기 위해 공공 부지를 활용한 인프라 확충, 정부 차원의 예산 지원 및 정책 개선, 젊은 세대와 가족 단위를 겨냥한 홍보 전략, 그리고 지역 간 네트 워크 구축을 통한 커뮤니티 활성화가 필요함을 확인하였다. [결론] 본 연구는 파크골프가 단순한 스포츠를 넘어 세대 간 교류와 지역사회 활성화에 기여할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하며, 정책 입안자 및 체육 관계자들에게 실질적인 개선 방안을 제공하는 데 의의가 있다. 향후 연구에서는 국내외 사례 비교와 정량적 연구를 병행하여 보다 구체적인 전략 을 도출하는 것이 필요할 것이다.
