Purpose: Extracellular vesicles (exosomes), which are nanosized lipid bilayer-enclosed vesicles containing a diverse cargo of proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids, serve as a fundamental mechanism for intercellular communication. Their role as natural delivery systems makes them highly promising for biomedical applications. Here, we assessed the cosmetic efficacy of the novel topical formulation “Cellmular EXO Solution” containing four types of plant-derived nano-exosomes. Methods: A cohort of 22 adult female volunteers applied the test formulation twice daily for two weeks. Skin parameters were quantitatively measured at baseline and endpoint to assess changes in elasticity, moisture, pigmentation, and texture. Results: Cellmular EXO Solution elicited robust and statistically significant improvements across all key skin metrics within the two-week study period. Skin elasticity and moisture content increased significantly, while hyperpigmentation and pore-area roughness were considerably reduced. Remarkably, skin hydration levels increased by over 100% from baseline, a rapid and substantial physiological change. Conclusion: This study provides the first clinical evidence that a synergistic combination of plant-derived exosomes can effectively rejuvenate aged skin. The formulation significantly improved skin appearance by enhancing elasticity, hydration, pigmentation, and texture, suggesting its potential as a potent anti-aging ingredient.

목적: 세포외세포(엑소좀)는 지질 이중층 구조를 가지며, 내부에 단백질, 지질, 핵산 등 다양한 생리활성 물질을 포함하고 있어 세포 간 신호 전달 매개체로 작용할 뿐만 아니라, 약물 전달체로서의 가능성을 갖고 있다. 이에 따라 엑소좀은 생명공학, 제약, 화장품 산 업 등에서 주목받는 차세대 소재로 활용되고 있다. 본 연구는 4종의 식물 유래 나노 엑소좀을 함유한 화장품 제형의 인체 적용을 통 해 피부 노화 징후에 대한 개선 효과를 평가하고자 하였다. 방법: 자발적으로 참여에 동의한 성인 여성 22명을 대상으로 시험을 진 행하였으며, 시험물질인 셀뮬러 이엑스오 솔루션을 아침과 저녁, 1일 2회씩 2주간 도포하도록 하였다. 시험 전후의 피부 상태는 다 양한 측정 지표를 통해 분석되었다. 결과: 2주간의 사용 후, 시험물질은 피부 탄력 증가, 수분 함량 상승, 색소 침착 감소, 모공 부위 피부결 개선 등 피부 노화와 관련된 여러 지표에서 통계적으로 유의미한 개선 효과를 나타내었다. 특히 수분지수는 2배 이상 증가 하는 현저한 보습 효과를 보였다. 결론: 셀뮬러 이엑스오 솔루션에 포함된 4종의 식물 유래 엑소좀은 각각의 생리활성 성분이 상호 보완적으로 작용하여, 피부 탄력과 수분, 색소침착, 피부결 등 외관상의 피부 지표를 개선함으로써 피부 재생을 촉진하는 데 효과적 임을 확인하였다.
