This study aimed to collect and analyze academic papers related to drone sports published domestically and internationally from 2015 to 2024, in order to identify research trends and major directions in the field. The analysis focused on four categories: sports technology development, educational applications, industrialization and market potential, and policies and systems. A total of 72 papers were classified and compared, including domestic KCI-indexed and theses, as well as international SCI- and Scopus-indexed papers. The results showed that domestic research primarily concentrates on educational applications, whereas international studies are more active in technological experiments and commercial applications. In particular, overseas research has been vigorous in applying AI-based game analysis, autonomous flight, and feedback systems to sports settings. Domestically, research mainly centers on integrating drone sports into physical education and developing convergence educational programs, which indicates its potential strength as a future-oriented educational convengence model. Both domestic and international studies show relatively limited focus on industrialization and policy, with domestic research especially needing to address the economic value of drone sports and the establishment of institutional frameworks. Thus, emphasizing the need for “industrialization and policy research” in the introduction highlights the importance of the study’s direction. This study can serve as foundational data to promote interdisciplinary convergence and balanced expansion of research in the drone sports field and provides implications for diversifying the direction of domestic drone sports research.

본 연구는 2015년부터 2024년까지 발표된 국내외 드론스포츠 관련 학술논문을 수집 및 분석하여, 연구의 흐름과 주요 경향을 파악하는 데 목적을 두었다. 분석 항목은 스포츠기술개발, 교육적 활용, 산업화 및 시장성, 정책 및 제도 등 네 가지 범주로 설정하였으며, KCI 및 학위논문(국내), SCI 및 Scopus 논문(국외) 총 72편을 대상으로 분류 및 비교하였 다. 분석 결과, 국내 연구는 주로 교육적 활용에 집중되어 있는 반면, 국외는 기술 실험과 상업적 응용에 보다 적극적인 것으로 나타났다. 특히 국외는 드론의 AI 기반 경기 분석, 자율 비행, 피드백 시스템 등 기술적 요소를 스포츠 현장에 접목 시키는 연구가 활발하였다. 국내의 경우 체육수업 연계, 융합 교육 프로그램 개발 등 교육 중심의 접근이 주를 이루었으며, 이는 미래형 융합교육 모델로 확장될 수 있는 잠재적 장점을 가진다. 산업화 및 정책 연구는 국내외 모두 상대적으로 부족 하였으며, 특히 국내는 드론스포츠의 경제적 가치와 제도적 기반 마련을 위한 연구가 요구된다. 따라서 서론에서 ‘산업화 및 정책 연구’의 필요성을 강조함으로써 본 연구가 제시하는 방향성의 중요성을 독자에게 명확히 전달한다. 본 연구는 드론스포츠 분야의 학제 간 융합과 균형 잡힌 연구 확대를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 국내 드론스포츠 연구의 방향성을 다변화하는 데 시사점을 제공한다.
