This study aims to explore the possibilities and ethical issues of utilizing generative AI in qualitative research on sports. The research methods applied were a literature review and textual case analysis. Generative AI systems—ChatGPT (4.0, 4.1, 4.5) and Wrtn (wrtn AI)—were employed, and a pilot study was conducted within the limited scope of data collection and initial coding (open coding). In generating qualitative data, generative AI was found to offer time reduction in documentation and technical utility as an assistive tool. However, responsibility for qualitative data still rests with the researcher, which is one of the main points of this study. Therefore, the potential use of generative AI in qualitative research requires greater ethical reflexivity and procedural transparency than traditional qualitative approaches, indicating the need for follow-up research on technomoral responsibility.

이 연구는 스포츠 질적 연구 시 생성형 AI 활용에 대한 가능성 및 윤리적 쟁점을 탐색하는데 목적이 있 다. 연구방법은 문헌연구와 텍스트 사례분석이 적용되었다. 생성형 AI는 ChatGPT(4.0, 4.1, 4.5)와 뤼튼(wrtn AI) 이 사용되었으며 자료수집과 초기 코딩(open coding) 단계라는 제한된 범위 내에서 파일럿 연구가 실시되었다. 생 성형 AI의 경우 질적 자료 생성시 기록면에서 시간적 단축과 조력자로서 기술적 유용성을 확인해 볼 수 있었다. 그러나 질적 자료의 책임은 여전히 연구자에게 귀속되어 있다는 것, 그것이 이 연구의 주요 요지 중 하나이다. 따 라서 질적 연구에서 생성형 AI의 활용 가능성은 전통적 질적 연구보다 더 높은 윤리적 성찰과 절차적 투명성이 요구되고 있어 기술적 도덕성에 관한 후속 연구가 필요하다.

These exchanges have led to the founding of the International Next-generation Convergence technology (INCA) on December 1, 2015. INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
