This study aims to empirically examine the determinants of retirement preparedness and the factors contributing to anxiety about old age among married immigrant women living in multicultural families in South Korea. Utilizing data from the Multicultural Family Survey, the analysis applied logistic regression to identify the key predictors of retirement preparation and multiple regression to explore factors influencing anxiety related to aging. The logistic regression results indicate that age, Korean language proficiency, length of stay in Korea, monthly income, health status, domestic work experience, and residential area significantly affect the likelihood of preparing for retirement. In contrast, traditional background variables such as educational attainment did not show statistically significant effects. These findings suggest that actual life experiences and functional competencies play a more critical role than formal socio-economic status in influencing retirement preparedness among married immigrant women. In addition, the multiple regression analysis, which examined four dimensions of anxiety—financial hardship, employment insecurity, health concerns, and social isolation—revealed that higher life satisfaction, better health, and higher monthly income consistently alleviate retirement-related anxiety across all domains. The findings highlight the need for a comprehensive and multi-layered policy approach that goes beyond financial support. Enhancing health, improving language skills, fostering stable social relationships, and ensuring psychological well-being are essential to promoting both retirement preparedness and overall quality of life for married immigrant women in multicultural families.

본 연구는 『전국다문화가정 실태조사』자료를 활용하여 한국에 거주하는 다문화가정 의 결혼 이주여성의 노후 준비 실태를 분석하고, 그 결정요인과 노후에 대한 불안 요인 을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석 방법으로는 노후 준비 여부를 종속변수로 설정한 로 지스틱 회귀분석과, 노후 불안 요인을 종속변수로 설정한 다중회귀분석을 각각 적용하 였다. 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과 연령, 한국어 능력, 체류기간, 소득, 건강상태, 국내 취업 경험, 거주지역 등이 노후 준비에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변수로 나타났 다. 반면 학력과 같은 전통적인 배경 변수는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되 었다. 이는 결혼 이주 여성의 노후 준비가 형식적인 사회·경제적 지위보다는 실제 생활 경험과 기능적 역량에 더 밀접하게 관련되어 있음을 추정할 수 있다. 또한, 경제적 어 려움, 고용불안, 건강문제, 외로움 등 네 가지 차원의 노후에 대한 불안 요인을 각각 종 속변수로 설정한 다중회귀분석 결과 생활만족도가 높고, 건강 상태가 양호하며, 월평 균 소득 수준이 높을수록 모든 불안 요인에 대해 일관되게 노후 준비에 대한 불안을 완 화 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과는 결혼 이주 여성의 노후 준비와 전반적인 삶의 질 향상을 위해 단순한 경제적 지원을 넘어 건강 증진, 한국어 능력 향 상, 안정적인 사회적 관계 형성, 그리고 심리적 안정성 확보를 위한 통합적이고 다층적 인 정책적 접근이 필요함을 강조한다.
