This study focuses on the increasing desire of adolescents to express themselves through hairstyles as a way to relieve stress from daily life and academics. This trend has gained prominence in the context of a changing social structure, where school regulations and lifestyle restrictions on students' hairstyles have been relaxed compared to the past. Targeting male and female high school students, this research highlights how damaged scalps and hair can pose limitations in achieving desired hairstyles. The primary aim is to raise awareness about the importance of scalp and hair care, while also providing foundational data necessary for developing systematic educational programs in the future. To achieve this, the study measures the diameter and density of hair based on the participants’ various beauty treatment experiences. Through a comparative analysis of each individual’s scalp and hair condition, the study aims to facilitate more accurate hair diagnoses. Furthermore, it emphasizes the need to form healthy hair care habits and calls for continuous research in this field.

본 연구는 청소년들의 두발에 대한 학교 교칙과 생활 규제가 과거보다 완화됨에 따라, 변화하는 사회 구조 속 에서 청소년들이 학업 등 일상생활에서 받는 스트레스를 해소하기 위한 수단으로, 외적으로 가장 쉽게 자신을 표현할 수 있는 헤어스타일을 통해 아름다워지고자 하는 욕구를 드러내고 있다는 점에 주목하였다. 성별이 다른 일반 고등학생들을 대상으로 손상된 두피와 모발이 원하는 헤어스타일 연출에 제약을 줄 수 있다는 점에 착안하여, 두피 및 모발 관리의 중요성을 인식시키고, 향후 체계적인 교육 프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 연구 대상자의 다양한 미용 시술 경험에 따른 모발의 직경과 밀도를 측정하고, 이를 바탕으로 본인의 두피 및 모발 건강 상태를 상호 비교·분석하는 과정을 통해 보다 정확한 모발 진단이 가능하다고 본다. 향후 건강한 모발 관리를 위한 올바른 습관 형성과 그에 대한 지속적인 연구의 필요성을 제언하고자 한다.
