This study employed a mixed-methods approach to examine college students’ perceptions and experiences of exposure to digital sex crimes. On December 6, 2022, a survey on awareness and exposure to digital sex crimes was conducted with 84 students participating in a university-led sexual crime prevention campaign. To gather more detailed insights, a focus group interview was conducted with six students on April 20, 2023. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with SPSS 28.0 software and Giorgi's phenomenological method. Among the survey participants, 85.7% (72 students) reported being aware of digital sex crimes, and 96.4% (81 students) indicated that the severity of these crimes was significant. The analysis of the focus group interviews identified four main meanings and 9 themes. The four main meanings were: "Unwanted sexual approach," "Shock and panic," "Confronting or avoiding the issue," and "Desire for a safe online space free of sexual crimes." This study provides foundational data for the development of digital sex crime prevention education programs for college students and the formulation of related institutional policies.

본 연구는 대학생들의 디지털 성범죄에 대한 인식과 노출 경험을 탐색하기 위해 혼합연구방법을 적용하여 수행되었다. 2022년 12월 6일 대학의 성범죄 예방 캠페인에 참여한 84명의 학생들에게 디지털 성범죄에 대한 인식 과 노출 경험에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였고, 구체적인 경험을 파악하기 위해 2023년 4월 20일 6명의 학생을 대상 으로 초점집단 심층면담을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 28.0 program을 활용한 기술통계분석과 Giorgi의 현 상학적 방법으로 분석하였다. 설문조사 참여자 중 85.7%(72명)가 디지털 성범죄에 대해 알고 있다고 응답했으며, 96.4%(81명)은 그 정도가 심각한 수준이라고 응답하였다. 초점집단 심층면담 분석결과 4개의 중심의미와 9개의 주 제가 확인되었다. 도출된 4개의 중심의미는 ‘원치 않는 성적 접근’, ‘충격과 패닉’, ‘맞닥뜨리기 또는 회피하기’, ‘성범 죄 없는 안전한 온라인 공간을 희망함’이었다. 본 연구는 대학생들의 디지털 성범죄 예방교육 프로그램 개발 및 관련 된 제도적 정책 수립을 위한 기초 자료를 제공했다는데 의의가 있다.
