With the advancement of innovation-driven development strategy, the impact of R&D expenditure capitalization on corporate financial performance has attracted attention from academia. This study aims to explore the mechanisms by which R&D expenditure capitalization affects corporate financial performance. This study utilizes a sample of China's A-share listed companies from 2017 to 2023 and employs regression analysis to conduct empirical investigation. The analysis reveals that: (1) R&D expenditure capitalization has a significant negative effect on corporate financial performance. (2) Mechanism analysis reveals that R&D investment exhibits a suppressing effect, but this is not statistically significant; financing constraints also have a suppressing effect, which is significant at the 0.1 level. (3) Heterogeneity analysis shows that for high-tech enterprises and non-high-tech enterprises, there are significant differences in the impact of R&D expenditure capitalization on corporate financial performance. Based on these findings, the study proposes the following recommendations: strengthen accounting standards supervision for R&D expenditure capitalization; broaden financing channels ; introduce differentiated policies to support R&D in high-tech enterprises.

중국기업의 혁신에 의한 발전 전략이 추진됨에 따라 연구개발비 지출의 자본화가 기업 재무 실적에 미치는 영향은 학계의 관심을 불러일으켰다. 본 연구의 목적은 R&D 지출 자본화가 재무 성과에 미치는 영향 메커니즘을 규명하는 데 있다. 2017년부터 2023년까지 중국 A주식 상장회사를 표본으로 하여 회귀분석 방법을 적용하여 연구를 수행하였다. 분석한 결과에 따르면 (1) R&D 지출 자본화는 재무 실적에 현저한 부정적인 영향을 미친다. (2) 메커니 즘 분석에 따르면, R&D 투자는 억제 효과를 나타내지만, 이는 통계적으로 유의적이지 않다; 자금 조달 제약도 억제 효과를 가지고 있는데, 유의수준 0.1에서 통계적으로 유의함을 의미한다. (3) 이질성 분석에 따르면 하이테크 기업과 비하이테크 기업의 경우 R&D 지출 자본화가 기업 재무 실적에 미치는 영향은 유의한 차이가 있다. 따라서 본 연구 결과에 근거하여, 연구는 다음과 같은 권고를 제시한다: R&D 지출 자본화에 대한 회계 기준 감독을 강화한다; 자금 조달 채널을 넓히고; 또한 하이테크 기업의 R&D 지원을 위한 차별화된 정책을 제시하여야 한다.
