The goal of the present study is to explore the factors that influence the extent to which elderly Koreans are involved in binge drinking. This study is based on the data obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) VIII, 2019. The demographic variables included in the study were sex, age, education, job, subjective health perception, activity status, food stability, drinking habit, stress level, depression, suicidal tendencies, and health-related quality of life. Descriptive statistics, correlation and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis. The study found that binge drinking among Elderly was explained by 19.6% of the variance in gender and age. This study provides necessary information regarding the various factors that influence drinking behaviour in elderly persons and provides information for framing policies for better public health promotion in Korea.

본 연구의 목적은 한국 노인의 폭음 정도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구는 2019년 제8차 국민건강영양조사(KNHANES) 자료를 기반으로 하였다. 연구에 포함된 인구통계학적 변 수는 성별, 연령, 교육수준, 직업, 주관적 건강인식, 활동 수준, 식품 안정성, 음주 습관, 스트레스 수준, 우울, 자살 경향, 그리고 건강 관련 삶의 질이었다. 자료 분석에는 기술통계, 상관분석, 그리고 다중회귀 분석이 사용되었다. 연구 결과, 노인의 폭음은 성별과 연령에 의해 19.6% 설명되어졌다. 본 연구는 노인 의 음주 행동에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인에 대한 정보를 제공하고, 한국 국민건강 증진을 위한 정책 수립에 필요한 정보를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.
