A public online school was established to offer courses tailored to students􀁎 aptitudes and career paths and to support the high school credit system. This study collected opinions on the necessary assessment methods and academic management strategies for operating an online school targeting high schools in rural areas. The results indicated a preference for multiple-choice 􀂘uestions in written exams, assignment submissions for performance assessments, and absolute grading for academic evaluation. Additionally, the most preferred approach for student enrollment was recruiting first-year students through the schools themselves and registering them via an online platform 3􀋀4 months before the course start date. The preferred operational model involved conducting classes during regular school hours. Based on these findings, it is necessary to incorporate the study results into academic assessments and school management when operating an online school in rural areas. Furthermore, measures should be developed to ensure the fairness and reliability of online assessments.

학생들의 적성과 진로에 맞는 과목을 개설하고, 고교 학점제를 지원하기 위해 공립 온라인 학교가 설립되었다. 본 연구에서는 농산어촌 지역의 고등학교 대상으로 온라인 학교를 운영하는 데 필요한 평가 방법과 학사 운영 방안에 대한 의견을 수렴하였다. 그 결과, 지필평가는 객관식을, 수행 평가는 과제 제출을, 성적 처리는 절대평가를 선호하였 다. 또한, 온라인학교의 수강생은 1학년 학생을 대상으로 학교 자체적으로 모집한 후 온라인 플랫폼을 통해 수업 시작 전 3~4개월 전에 모집하여 일과 내 정규 수업 시간에 운영하는 것을 가장 선호하였다. 따라서 농산어촌 지역에서 온라인 학교를 운영할 때 연구 결과를 반영하여 성취도 평가와 학사 운영이 진행될 필요가 있으며, 온라인 평가의 공 정성과 신뢰도를 확보하기 위한 방안 마련이 필요하다.
