This study uses Novel Engineering to describe class cases that combine various achievement standards of Korean language, art, science, and moral subjects for 4th grade students in elementary school. For the goal of the 2015 revised curriculum, to nurture creative convergence talents, classes were designed so that students could solve creative problems with convergent thinking through discussion and cooperation based on the Novel Engineering class model. In this class, students learned that a problem can be solved more easily if a solution is found through discussion among group members, and the importance and pleasure of cooperation among group members in the process of solving a problem. In this study, based on empathy for the characters in the story and immersion in the situation, one of the characteristics of Novel Enginerring, project classes were conducted with the goal of cultivating a more active attitude in class and improving creative problem-solving skills with a cooperative attitude. proceeded.

본 연구는 Novel Engineering을 활용하여 초등학교 4학년 학생을 대상으로 국어, 미술, 과학, 도덕 교과의 여 러 성취기준을 융합한 수업사례를 기술한다. 2015 개정 교육과정의 목표인 창의융합형 인재 양성을 위하여 학생 들이 Novel Engineering 수업모형을 바탕으로 토의와 협력을 통한 융합적 사고로 창의적 문제해결을 할 수 있 도록 수업을 설계하였다. 이에 학생들은 본 수업으로 인하여 모둠원간의 토의를 통해 해결방법을 찾으면 보다 문제가 수월하게 해결됨을 알게 되었으며, 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 모둠원끼리의 협력의 중요성과 즐거움을 알게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 Novel Enginerring의 특징 중 하나인 이야기 속 등장인물에 대한 공감과 상황에 대 한 몰입을 바탕으로 수업에 보다 적극적인 태도를 함양하고, 협력적 태도로 창의적 문제 해결력을 향상시키는 것을 목표로 프로젝트 수업을 진행하였다.
