- The purpose of this study is to provide a basic data for the development of family service, by analyzing the familism values between retal and non-rental apartment residents. in metropolitan city. The survey has been conducted targeting the sample of 408 people who live in rental apartment non-rental apartment in Seoul. The major findings of this study are as follows.First, most interviewees perceived ‘parent without children’ as a category of a family. Second, most interviewees perceived ‘family on the base of consanguinity’ as a category of a family. Third, compared with non-rental apartment residents, the residents of rental apartment perceived various types of family as a category of a family. Fourth, the familism of the in the interviewees was on the base of the present family members rather than the traditional familism on the base of paternal consanguinity. But the rental apartment residents had more traditional familism. Fifth, the interviewees had a nuclear family ideology which was consanguinity rather than genetic resemblance. The rental apartment residents had more rigid perception in relation with genetic resemblance. Sixth, the results of demographical characteristics show that the younger, the more educated, the protestant, the office worker and single parent with children had more liberal the value of familism.Based on the results of the study, we suggest that the necessity of broadening of family concept and family category. The direction of family service on the based of the various value of familism of residents has to be explored.

- 한국의 임상사회사업을 학문적 토대 위에서 발전시키고 한국 임상사회사업의 전문적 위상을 높이기 위해 본 학회를 창설하게 되었다. 그동안 한국 임상사회사업의 발전을 위해 1985년 ‘임상사회사업연구회’가 창설된 바 있고, 1996년에는 여러 사회복지 관련 단체가 연합하여 제 1회 임상사회사업 자격시험을 시행하기도 하여 많을 발전을 이룬 것이 사실이다. 그러나 임상사회사업이 보다 체계화되고 발전하기 위해서는 전문학회를 통한 학술활동이 본격화 되어야 할 필요가 있다고 판단된다. 본 학회는 기존 학회에서 도외시 되어 왔지만 사회사업의 본질상 중요한 부분 두가지를 강조하고자 한다. 첫째는 실무자들의 실천경험에 대한 소고를 되도록 많이 받아들여 실무자들의 실천적 지혜가 사회사업의 지식으로 발전 할 수 있는 토대를 마련하고자 한다. 둘째는 사회사업의 실천에서 중요시 되는 조사방법이지만 아직까지 우리나라에는 널리 보급되지 못한 단일사례설계나 질적조사방법에 의해 작성된 논문을 우선적으로 받아들여 이러한 조사방법의 보급에 일조하고자 한다. 앞으로 한국 임상사회사업학회는 효과적인 임상사회사업실천방법이 무엇인지를 규명해 갈 것이며 임상사회사업이 나아가야 할 방향을 정립해 가고자 한다.
