This paper developed a digital forensics education program utilizing metadata-based file recovery principles for elementary school students and analyzed its effectiveness. The program was designed with unplugged activities that simulate the file recovery process, a core technology in digital forensics, enabling students to experience the practical application of digital technologies. Pre- and post-tests revealed that the program significantly improved students' digital competencies, problem-solving skills, self-directed learning, and interest in digital forensics. The developed program demonstrated its potential to contribute to the development of essential competencies required in an information-based society. Future research should focus on designing expanded programs that incorporate diverse age groups and other digital forensics technologies, as well as verifying the program's long-term effectiveness.

본 논문에서는 초등학생을 대상으로 메타데이터 기반 파일 복구 원리를 활용한 디지털 포렌식 교육 프로 그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 분석하였다. 교육 프로그램은 디지털 포렌식의 핵심 기술인 파일 복구 과정을 언 플러그드 활동으로 구성하여 학생들이 디지털 기술의 실제 응용을 체험할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 사전·사후 검사를 통해 프로그램이 학생들의 디지털 역량, 문제 해결 능력, 자기주도성, 디지털 포렌식에 대한 관심도를 유의미하게 향상시킨 것으로 나타났다. 개발된 교육프로그램은 정보화 사회에서 필수적인 핵심 역량을 개발 하는 데 기여할 가능성을 보여주었으며, 향후 연구에서는 다양한 연령층 및 디지털 포렌식의 다른 기술들을 포함하는 확장된 프로그램 개발과 장기적 효과성 검증이 필요함을 제안하였다.
