This study is to verify the effect of the motivation of elderly volunteers to participate in volunteering on the will to continue volunteering. To this end, a survey was conducted on elderly volunteers aged 65 or older working in Chungcheongnam-do, and a total of 360 copies were used for the final analysis. For data analysis, multiple regression analysis was conducted using SPSS 25.0. As a result of the analysis, it was found that value motivation, social motivation, career motivation, understanding motivation, reinforcement motivation, and protection motivation, which are sub-factors of the motivation for participation of elderly volunteers, had a positive (+) effect on the willingness to continue volunteering. On the other hand, career motivation was identified as a factor that negatively affects the willingness to continue volunteering. In other words, the higher the value motivation, social motivation, understanding motivation, reinforcement motivation, and protection motivation of elderly volunteers, the higher the willingness to continue volunteer work. On the other hand, the lower the career motivation of a volunteer, the higher the willingness to continue volunteer work. Based on the results of this study, a plan was suggested to increase the willingness to continue volunteer work by strengthening the motivation of elderly volunteers to participate in volunteer work.

본 연구는 노인 자원봉사자의 자원봉사 참여동기가 자원봉사 지속의지에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 충청남도에서 활동하는 만65세 이상 노인자원봉사자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 360부를 최종 분석 에 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 25.0을 활용한 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 노인 자원봉사자의 참여동기의 하위요인인 가치동기, 사회동기, 경력동기, 이해동기, 강화동기, 보호동기는 자원봉사 지속의지에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 경력동기는 자원봉사 지속의지에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었다. 즉, 노인 자원봉사 자의 가치동기, 사회동기, 이해동기, 강화동기, 보호동기가 높을수록 자원봉사 지속의지가 높다는 것을 의미한다. 반면 자원봉사자의 경력동기가 낮을수록 자원봉사 지속의지가 높다는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인 자원봉사 자의 자원봉사 참여동기를 강화시켜 자원봉사 지속의지를 증진시키는 방안을 제언하였다.
