The purpose of this study was to examine how the social stigma perceived by adolescents with juvenile protection disposition 6 affected their mental health and to verify the mediating effect of positive psychological capital in the relationship between social stigma and mental health. 260 adolescents with juvenile protection disposition No. 6 participated in the study. The data collected through the survey were analyzed by using SPSS 29.0 and PROCESS macro version 4.2. As a result of the study, first, when applying the cut-off score, 60.8% of the total survey subjects fell into the depressed group and 18.1% fell into the anxious group. Second, the higher the level of social stigma perceived by adolescents with juvenile protection disposition 6, the significantly higher their levels of depression and anxiety. Third, positive psychological capital showed a mediating effect in the relationship between social stigma and depression and anxiety among adolescents with juvenile protection disposition 6. Fourth, among the sub-factors of positive psychological capital, resilience and optimism were verified to mediate the relationship between social stigma and depression by adolescents with juvenile protection disposition 6, and only resilience showed a significant mediating effect in the relationship with anxiety. Based on the findings, practical suggestions related to relieving social stigma and strengthening positive psychological capital, especially resilience and optimism among the sub-factors of positive psychological capital as an internal resource were discussed to improve the mental health of adolescents with juvenile protection disposition 6.

이 연구는 사회적 낙인감이 정신건강에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 6호 처분 청소 년을 대상으로 살펴보고 사회적 낙인감과 정신건강 관계에 긍정심리자본이 매개 변수로 작용하는지 규명하였다. 6호 처분 청소년 260명이 설문 조사에 참여하였 다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 29.0과 PROCESS macro version 4.2로 분석하였다. 연 구결과 첫째, 전체 조사대상자 중 60.8%가 우울군, 18.1%가 불안군으로 나타났 다. 둘째, 6호 처분 청소년은 사회적 낙인감이 높을수록, 우울과 불안 정도가 유 의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 긍정심리자본은 6호 처분 청소년의 사회적 낙인감과 우울 및 불안의 관계에서 매개 효과를 보였다. 넷째, 긍정심리자본의 하위요소 각각의 매개 효과를 검증하기 위한 병렬매개 분석결과 탄력성과 낙관 성이 사회적 낙인감과 우울 관계에 유의한 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났고 사회적 낙인감과 불안 관계는 탄력성만 유의한 매개 효과를 보였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 6호 처분 청소년의 정신건강 증진에 사회적 낙인감 해소와 긍정심리자본, 특히 탄력성과 낙관성을 강화하는 개입이 필요함을 시사하므로 이에 따른 실천 적 제언을 논의하였다.
