The doctrine of sacraments is a core element of Christian faith, playing a vital role in fostering believers' relationship with God and sustaining their spiritual lives. Sacraments hold significance beyond mere rituals, requiring a profound understanding within theological, historical, and biblical contexts. This study examines the doctrine of sacraments from a theological-historical perspective, exploring their biblical meanings and practical dimensions. First, the paper traces the historical development of sacraments, discussing how their understanding has evolved from the early church to the modern church. This includes an analysis of various theological traditions and denominational differences, shedding light on the multifaceted significance of sacraments. Next, the study delves into the fundamental principles and theological foundations of sacraments as presented in the Old and New Testaments. By analyzing biblical passages, it investigates the grace conferred upon believers through sacraments and their symbolic meanings, as well as how these insights are practiced in contemporary faith communities. Finally, the paper proposes modern interpretations and applications of the doctrine of sacraments, aiming to provide ways for believers to experience a deeper faith through sacraments.

성례론은 기독교 신앙의 핵심 요소로, 신자들이 하나님과의 관계를 맺 고 영적 삶을 영위하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다. 성례는 단순한 의식 이상 의 의미를 지니며, 신학적, 역사적, 성서적 맥락에서 깊이 있는 이해가 필요하다. 본 논문은 성례론을 신학사적 관점에서 조망하고, 성서에 나타 난 성례의 의미와 그 실천적 차원을 탐구할 것이다. 먼저, 성례의 역사적 발전 과정을 살펴보며 초기 교회에서 현대 교회에 이르기까지 성례의 이 해가 어떻게 변화해왔는지를 논의한다. 이 과정에서 다양한 신학적 전통 과 교파의 차이점을 분석하여 성례가 지닌 다면적 의미를 조명할 것이다. 다음으로, 성경의 구약과 신약을 통해 성례의 근본적인 원리와 신학적 근거를 탐구한다. 성경 구절을 통해 성례가 신자들에게 부여하는 은혜와 그 상징적 의미를 분석하고, 이러한 이해가 오늘날 신앙 공동체에서 어떻 게 실천되고 있는지를 살펴본다. 마지막으로, 본 논문은 성례론에 대한 현대적 해석과 적용 가능성을 제시함으로써, 신자들이 성례를 통해 보다 깊은 신앙의 체험을 할 수 있는 방법을 모색하고자 한다.
