Korea has witnessed a growing trend in emergency medical cases due to rapid economic growth, advancements in transportation and industry, urbanization, and incidents such as industrial accidents, poisoning, crimes, and suicides. Furthermore, advancements in medicine and medical devices have increased average life expectancy, leading to a rise in the demand for emergency medical care among the elderly in an aging society. Emergency departments in medical centers have continuously evolved to adapt to these changes in the medical environment and to fulfill their roles as regional emergency centers. Events such as the MERS and COVID-19 outbreaks, as well as changes in societal and economic conditions, have prompted emergency departments to pursue new forms and functions in their spatial layouts compared to the past. This study aims to examine the changes in the spatial configurations of emergency departments in local medical centers in Korea, analyze their characteristics, and provide foundational data for planning and designing emergency department layouts. The results of the study are as follows: First, spaces and circulation routes have been separated according to patient characteristics. Second, functions related to infection control have been strengthened. Third, dedicated facilities for emergency departments have been secured.

우리나라는 급속한 경제성장과 교통 및 산업의 발전과 도시화로 산업재해와 중독사고, 범죄사고 자살 등 으로 인해 응급의료환자가 증가하고 있는 추세에 있다. 그리고 의학과 의료기기의 발전으로 인해 평균수명이 증가 되고 고령화 사회로 노인들의 응급의료 수요 역시 증가되고 있는 실정이다. 의료원의 응급부는 의료환경의 변화에 대응하며 지역응급센터로의 역할을 수행하며 지속적으로 변화를 거듭해 왔다. 메르스와 코로나 사태 등 의료환경 과 사회적 경제적 수준의 변화에 따라 응급부의 평면구성은 과거와 다른 형태와 기능을 추구하고 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라 지방의료원 응급부의 평면구성 변화를 살펴보고 그 특성을 분석하여 응급부 평면계획과 설계의 기초자 료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 환자특성에 따라 공간 및 동선이 분리되었다, 둘째, 감염에 대한 기능이 보강 되었다. 셋째, 응급부 전용시설이 확보되었다.

    Ever since next generation convergence technology became one of the most important industries in the nation, computing professionals have encountered a growing number of challenges. Along with scholars and colleagues in related fields, they have gathered in avariety of forums and meetings over the last few decades to share their knowledge, experiences and the outcome of their research. These exchanges have led to the founding of the International Next-generation Convergence technology (INCA) on December 1, 2015. INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
