The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends related to infant and toddler physical activity published in academic journals and theses from 2000 to 2024. Data for the study were collected from 2000 to September 2024 by searching academic research information services, KISS, and DBpia using keywords such as infant + physical play, physical activity, and physical expression activity, and analyzing a total of 244 papers. Analysis results: First, as a result of analyzing academic journals and theses related to early childhood physical activity from 2000 to 2024, a total of 244 studies were conducted, including 117 theses and 127 academic journals. In the early 2000s, the number of studies conducted was small, but it can be seen that research is being conducted continuously, with 11 studies in 2010, 18 studies in 2015, and 21 studies in 2021. Second, looking at trends by research subject, the majority of studies were done with infants as the main target, followed by studies with both infants and parents, followed by studies with infants, and studies with teachers. Third, the trend by method in research related to children's physical play showed that quantitative research was the most common. Fourth, looking at research related to children's physical activity, it was found that the most research was related to sociality among physical activity-related variables. This study comprehensively identified research trends in academic journals and theses related to physical activity in infants and toddlers. This shows that physical activity is an important teaching and learning method for infant and toddler development, and is expected to help set the direction of future physical activity-related research.

본 연구는 2000년부터 2024년까지 학술지와 학위논문으로 출판된 영유아 신체활동 관련 연구 동향을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위한 자료수집은 2000년부터 2024년 9월까지 유아+신 체놀이, 신체활동, 신체표현활동을 키워드로 학술연구 정보서비스와 KISS, DBpia를 검색하여 총 244 편의 논문을 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 2000년부터 2024년까지 유아 신체활동 관련 학술지, 학위논 문을 분석한 결과, 학위논문은 총 117편, 학술지는 127편으로 총 244편의 연구가 이루어졌다. 2000년 초반에는 수행된 연구 편수가 적었으나 2010년에는 11편, 2015년 18편, 2021년에는 21편으로 지속적 으로 연구가 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 연구 대상별 동향을 살펴보면, 유아를 주 대상으로 이루어진 연구가 가장 많았고, 다음으로는 유아와 부모를 함께 연구, 영아를 대상 연구, 교사 대상 연구 순으로 이루어졌다. 셋째, 유아 신체놀이 관련 연구의 방법별 동향은 양적연구가 가장 많은 것으로 나 타났다. 넷째, 유아 신체활동 관련 연구 내용을 살펴보면, 신체활동 관련 변인 중 사회성과 관련된 연구 가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 영유아 신체활동과 관련한 학술지 및 학위논문의 연구동향을 통합적으로 파악하였다. 이는 영유아 발달에 신체활동이 중요한 교수, 학습 방법임을 보여주고 있으며, 앞으로 신체활동 관련 연구 방향 설정에 도움이 되길 기대한다.
