Background: Involvement of education to multicultural adolescents has been decreased over time despite of its importance Purpose: The objective of this study is to empirically investigate the longitudinal changes and influences of parental factors on their involvement in the education of multicultural adolescents. Methodology/Approach: This study explored the developmental trajectories of parental involvement using latent growth modeling, analyzing three years of longitudinal data (from 7th to 9th grade) from the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (MAPS). Findings/Conclusions: The findings revealed that the level of parental involvement in education decreased over time. Specifically, parents who experienced higher levels of everyday stress, acculturative stress, parenting efficacy, Korean language proficiency, educational attainment, and household income exhibited higher levels of involvement in their children's education during the 7th grade. Additionally, acculturative stress, parenting efficacy, and Korean language proficiency significantly influenced the developmental changes in parental involvement over time. Implications: In summary, the results suggest that parental involvement in the education of multicultural adolescents should be a focal point in various intervention programs, considering the diverse factors that influence this involvement. And finally the limitation and discussion of future study was explained.

배경: 다문화청소년에 대한 교육관여는 그 중요성에도 불구하고 시간이 지남에 따라 점차 감소하고 있다. 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 다문화청소년 자녀를 둔 부모의 교육관여의 종단적 변화와 그 영향요인들을 경 험적으로 검증하는 것이다. 방법론/접근 : 본 연구는 다문화청소년 부모의 교육관여의 발달경로를 파악함으로써 교육관여와 관련된 요인들 간에 관계를 잠재성장모형을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석자료로 한국청소년정책연구원의 다문화청 소년 패널조사 4(중1)∼6차(중3) 부모 자료 1,360명을 사용하였다. 분석방법은 잠재성장모형을 활용하였 다. 결과/결론 : 분석결과 부모의 일상생활 스트레스가 높을수록, 문화적응 스트레스가 높을수록, 부모효능감 이 높을수록, 한국어능력이 높을수록, 부와 모의 학력이 높을수록, 가구소득이 높을수록 교육관여의 초기 값은 높았다. 또한 부모의 일상생활 스트레스, 부모효능감, 그리고 한국어능력은 연령이 증가함에 따라 교육관여의 변화율에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 시사점 : 다문화청소년 자녀를 둔 부모의 교육관여는 연령이 증가함에 따라 점차 감소하며, 다양한 영향 요인들이 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 부모의 교육관여에 대한 다양한 개입의 초점에 대한 지점이 있음을 보여주고 있다. 마지막으로 연구의 제한점 및 후속연구의 방향을 제시하였다.
