Objective : This study aimed to identify the quantitative changes and trends in research topics related to vocational rehabilitation in Korea over time, thereby examining shifts in the domestic vocational rehabilitation paradigm. Methods : The study analyzed a total of 1,531 academic and thesis publications related to vocational rehabilitation, which were registered in the database of the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) by 2023. Quantitative analysis was conducted on the collected data, and general frequency analysis and keyword analysis, and topic modeling were applied to 938 documents that contained abstracts. For topic modeling, the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) algorithm was used to classify keywords. Excel, SPSS, and R were used for analysis. Results : The quantitative analysis revealed 904 academic papers and 627 theses. The Korean Society of Vocational Rehabilitation had the highest number of academic publications, while Daegu University produced the most theses. In the keyword frequency analysis of vocational rehabilitation studies, "job" had the highest frequency, followed by "persons with disabilities", "vocational rehabilitation", "rehabilitation facilities", "needs", and "society". Among the 11 main topics derived from topic modeling, "Topic 7: Return to Work for Injured Workers" was the most commonly discussed. The analysis of changes in research topics over time showed that "Topic 2: The Meaning and Value of Vocational Rehabilitation Based on Personal Experience", "Topic 6: Effectiveness of Vocational Rehabilitation Services", and "Topic 7: Return to Work for Injured Workers" have been steadily increasing, whereas "Topic 5: Personal and Social Efforts for Economic Independence", "Topic 8: Policy and System Improvement to Promote Employment of Persons with Disabilities", and "Topic 9: Vocational Training for Successful Employment and Job Retention" have been decreasing. Conclusion : This study confirmed that vocational rehabilitation can be defined as "achieving employment and satisfaction for persons with disabilities through rehabilitation facilities, social support, services, and programs", aligning closely with the goals and directions of occupational therapy. It was also found that the quantitative and qualitative changes in vocational rehabilitation research are closely related to the enactment and revision of national laws and policies.

목적 : 본 연구는 국내 직업재활 연구를 대상으로 시대적 흐름에 따른 직업재활관련 연구의 양적변화와 연구주제 흐름 을 확인하여 국내 직업재활 패러다임의 변화를 확인하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2023년까지 한국교육학술정보원의 데이터베이스에 등록된 직업재활 관련 학술문헌 및 학위논문 총 1,531건을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료에 대한 양적분석을 실시하고 초록이 존재하는 938건의 문헌에 대하여 형태소분석 및 전처리, 키워드빈도 분석, 토픽모델링 분석을 하였다. 토픽모델링을 시행하기 위해 디리클레 할당(LDA: Latent Dirichlet Allocation)알고리즘 중 깁스샘플링(Gibbs sampling)을 활용하여 키워드를 분류하였으며, 하이퍼파라 미터 튜닝(hyperparameter tuning)을 사용하여 통계학적으로 유의미한 토픽의 개수를 결정하였다. 논문의 수집은 Excel을, 일반적 연구동향분석은 SPSS를, 전처리, 키워드빈도, 토픽모델링, 토픽의 추세분석은 R을 사용하였다. 결과 : 문헌의 양적분석 결과 학술논문 904건, 학위논문 627건으로 학술논문의 수가 많았고, 학술논문은 한국직업재활학 회에서, 학위논문은 대구대학교에서 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 직업재활 연구 키워드의 빈도는 ‘직업’이 가장 높았 고, ‘장애인’, ‘직업재활’, ‘재활시설’, ‘필요’, ‘사회’, ‘지원’, ‘서비스’, ‘만족’ 순으로 나타났다. 토픽모델링을 통해 도출된 11개의 주요토픽 중 Topic 7 ‘산재근로자의 직업복귀’가 가장 많이 사용되었으며, Topic 6 ‘직업재활 서비스의 효과’가 가장 적게 사용된 것으로 조사되었다. 시대의 흐름에 따른 연구주제의 변화를 분석한 결과 Topic 2 ‘개인적 경험에 기반한 직업재활의 의미와 가치’와 Topic 6 ‘직업재활 서비스의 효과’, Topic 7 ‘산재근로자의 직업복귀’는 지속적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타난 반면, Topic 5 ‘경제적 자립을 위한 개인적, 사회적 노력’과 Topic 8 ‘장애인 고용 촉진을 위한 정책 및 제도개선’, Topic 9 ‘성공적인 취업 및 고용유지를 위한 직업훈련’은 감소하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 직업재활은 ‘재활시설, 사회적 지원, 서비스, 프로그램 등을 통해 장애인의 고용과 만족을 이끌어 내는 것’으로 정의될 수 있음을 확인하였으며 이는 작업치료의 목표와 방향성과 다르지 않음을 확인하였다. 또한 직업재활연구의 양적 및 질적 변화는 국가의 법령과 제도의 제·개정과 밀접한 관련성이 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 작업치료가 직업재활에서 전문 직무분야로 지속 발전시켜 나갈 뿐 아니라 직업재활 관련 제도 및 법령 제·개정 을 위한 기초자료로 사용되어 직업재활이 지속 활성화되기를 희망한다.
