Objectives: This study aims to verify the effectiveness of a drug abuse prevention education program using a metaverse platform on adolescents’ learning motivation, learning immersion, learning interest, and drug abuse prevention knowledge. Methods: This study is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group preand post-test design, and the subjects are second-year students from two specialized high schools located in J Province. The data collected in this study were analyzed using the independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test to determine the difference before and after the program application using the SPSS/PC 26.0 program. Results: The independent sample t-test results showed no significant difference in learning motivation and learning immersion, but learning interest and drug abuse prevention knowledge significantly increased. In addition, the experimental group’s paired sample t-test results showed that learning motivation, learning immersion, learning interest, and drug abuse prevention knowledge significantly increased. Conclusions: The drug abuse prevention education program utilizing the metaverse platform was found to be an effective program in increasing the learning interest of students in specialized high schools in a single region and in learning drug abuse prevention knowledge. This paper is meaningful as a study that conducted drug abuse prevention education using the metaverse and empirically analyzed its impact on learners.

목적: 본 연구는 청소년을 대상으로 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 마약류 오남용 예방교육 프로그램을 적용하 여 청소년의 마약류 오남용에 대한 학습동기, 학습몰입, 학습흥미도, 마약류 오남용 예방 지식에 대한 효과를 확인하고자 한다. 방법: 본 연구는 비동등성 대조군 전후 설계의 유사실험 연구로 대상자는 J도에 위치한 2곳의 특성화고등 학교 2학년 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SPSS/PC 26.0 프로그램을 이용하여 프로그 램 적용 전-후의 차이는 독립표본 t-검정 및 대응표본 t-검정으로 분석하였다. 결과: 분석결과 학습동기와 학습몰입은 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았지만, 학습흥미도와 마약류 오남용 예 방 지식은 유의미하게 상승하여 본 연구에서 개발한 프로그램의 교육적 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 결론: 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 마약류 오남용 예방교육 프로그램을 일지역 특성화고등학생의 학습흥미 도를 높이고 마약류 오남용 예방 지식을 학습하는데 효과적인 프로그램인 것으로 나타났다. 이 논문은 메타버 스를 활용하여 마약류 오남용 예방교육을 실행하고 그것이 학습자에게 미친 영향을 실증적으로 분석한 연구 로 의미가 있다.
