- The Mediterranean region is a major migration route from Africa and the Middle East to Europe, and many migrants attempt to migrate to Europe and other Western countries through the Mediterranean. The migrant mortality rate in the Mediterranean region is very high compared to migrant deaths and disappearances around the world, and this is a major humanitarian problem that the international community must urgently address. This study studies the causes of migrant death by comprehensively analyzing migration routes, temporal and geographical patterns, demographic characteristics, and spatial data based on data on migrant deaths and disappearances that occurred in the Mediterranean region from 2014 to 2024. Research results showed a tendency for incidents to be concentrated in the Central Mediterranean region, with drowning and environmental conditions being the main causes of death. In addition, we confirmed a pattern in which migration routes, origins, and destinations are complexly linked to mortality rates. Through data analysis results, improvement measures to reduce migrant deaths/disappearances are presented.

- 지중해 지역은 아프리카와 중동에서 유럽으로 향하는 주요 이주 경로로 많은 이주민들이 지중해를 통해 유럽을 비롯한 서구 국가로의 이주를 시도하고 있다. 지중해 지역에서 발생하는 이주민 사망률은 전 세계 이주민 사망 및 실종에 비해 매우 높은 수준이며, 이는 국제 사회가 시급히 해결해야 할 중대한 인도주의적 문제이다. 본 연구는 2014년부터 2024년까지 지중해 지역에서 발생한 이주민 사망 및 실종 데이터를 기반으로 이주 경로, 시간 적·지리적 패턴, 인구통계학적 특성, 공간 데이터 등을 종합적으로 분석하여 이주민의 사망 및 실종 원인을 다각적 으로 탐구하고 이를 통해 이주민 사망률을 줄이기 위한 구체적인 정책적 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구결과 중부 지중해 지역에서 사건이 집중되는 경향이 확인되었으며 주요 사망 원인으로는 익사와 환경적 조건이 나타났다. 또 한 이주 경로 및 출발지, 목적지 등이 사망률에 복잡하게 연계되어 있는 패턴을 확인했다. 데이터 분석 결과를 통 해 이주민 보호를 위한 구조 및 지원 정책의 강화, 위험 경로 관리, 이주 국가에서의 문제 해결 등 이주민 사망/ 실종을 감소시킬 수 있는 개선 방안을 제시한다.

- Ever since next generation convergence technology became one of the most important industries in the nation, computing professionals have encountered a growing number of challenges. Along with scholars and colleagues in related fields, they have gathered in avariety of forums and meetings over the last few decades to share their knowledge, experiences and the outcome of their research. These exchanges have led to the founding of the International Next-generation Convergence technology (INCA) on December 1, 2015. INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
