Various studies on artificial intelligence, which is changing the social paradigm, are discussing the skills and competencies that students need to have in the future. The purpose of this study was to identify changes in the perceptions of young children based on the five big ideas of AI education presented by AI4K12. To achieve the purpose, a play-centered curriculum based on the five big ideas of AI4K12, including 'recognition', 'expression and reasoning', 'learning', 'natural interaction', and 'social impact', was implemented for 5-year-old early children for 9 weeks. The results of the study showed that the early children's expression methods were diversified through the A.I. play activities, and their interest in A.I. increased as they acquired the contents of various elements related to A.I.. It was found that their fragmented ideas about AI were expanded. The significance of this study is that it provides basic data to suggest the direction of AI education and activities for early children.

사회적 패러다임을 바꿔가는 인공지능에 대한 다양한 연구는 미래를 살아가야 하는 학생이 갖추어야 할 소 양이나 역량에 대해 논의하고 있다. 본 연구는 AI4K12에서 제시한 인공지능 교육의 다섯 가지 빅 아이디어 를 기반으로 유아의 인식에 대한 변화를 확인하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 목적 달성을 위해 AI4K12의 ‘인식’, ‘표현과 추론’, ‘학습’, ‘자연스러운 상호작용’, ‘사회적 영향’ 등 다섯 가지 빅 아이디어를 기반으로 놀이 중심교육과정을 실행하기 위해 만 5세 유아를 대상으로 9주간 인공지능과 관련된 놀이활동을 구성하여 진행 하였다. 연구 결과, 인공지능 놀이 활동을 통해 유아의 표현 방법이 다양해졌으며, 인공지능과 관련된 다양한 요소의 내용을 습득하면서 인공지능에 대한 관심이 높아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 인공지능에 대한 단편 적인 생각이 확장되어 가는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 제시한 본 연구는 유아를 대상으로 한 인 공지능 교육이나 활동의 방향성을 제시하는 기초자료를 제시했다는 데 의의가 있다.
