[Purpose] This study aims to systematically analyze the impact of demographic changes in Korea on sports facilities using Central Place Theory and to explore sustainable and relocation strategies for these facilities. [Method] A systematic review was conducted using major academic databases (Google Scholar) to review relevant studies. [Result] Central Place Theory was found to be useful in determining the optimal location of sports facilities. The study suggests that relocation and operational strategies considering demographic changes, particularly the increase in the elderly population and the concentration of the population in the capital region, are necessary. [Conclusion] To enhance the sustainability of sports facilities, it is essential to establish tailored policies reflecting demographic changes and regional characteristics. The study confirmed that facility placement strategies utilizing Central Place Theory are effective. Future research should focus on empirical data-based studies, segmentation of sports facility demand and usage patterns according to various demographic characteristics, and comparative studies on sustainable sports facility operation policies in different countries and regions.

[목적] 본 연구는 중앙지 이론을 활용하여 한국의 인구구조 변화가 스포츠 시설에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 분석하 고, 이를 바탕으로 스포츠 시설의 지속가능성 및 재배치 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. [방법] 문헌고찰 방법 을 사용하여 주요 학술 데이터베이스(Google Scholar)에서 관련 연구를 검토하였다. [결과] 중앙지 이론은 스포츠 시 설의 최적 입지를 도출하는 데 유용하며, 인구구조 변화에 따라 스포츠 시설의 재배치와 운영 전략 수립이 필요함을 시사하였다. 특히, 노인 인구 증가와 수도권 집중에 따른 시설 수요 변화를 고려한 재배치 방안이 필요하다. [결론] 스포츠 시설의 지속가능성을 제고하기 위해 인구구조 변화와 지역 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 정책 수립이 중요하며, 중 앙지 이론을 활용한 시설 배치 전략이 효과적임을 확인하였다. 후속 연구로 실증적 데이터 기반의 연구, 다양한 인구 특성에 따른 스포츠 시설 수요 및 이용 패턴의 세분화 연구 등이 필요하다.
