This study aims to explore development strategies for the Taekwondo industry based on technological innovations from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. To achieve this, a literature review method was utilized to analyze the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, Taekwondo, the current state of the Taekwondo industry, and Taekwondo policies. The research findings are as follows: First, it is necessary to develop innovative content in line with changing industry trends by utilizing wearable devices, AI, big data, VR, and the metaverse. Second, the study suggests that the rapid expansion of the Taekwondo industry can be facilitated through the broadening of cultural content as Taekwondo becomes a part of K-Culture. Third, the expansion of investment and policy support for the Taekwondo industry can further promote its development. Through these research findings, it is hoped that Korean Taekwondo will continue to expand globally, positively impacting many people and developing into a fundamental base industry of Korea.

본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 기술 혁신을 바탕으로 태권도 산업의 발전방 안에 대해 연구하는 것을 목적으로 하였으며 이를 위해 문헌고찰 방식 을 활용하여 4차 산업혁명 기술과 태권도, 태권도 산업 현황, 태권도 정 책에 대해 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, Wearable Devices, AI, Big Data, VR, 메타버스 등을 활용하여 변화하는 산업 트렌드에 따른 혁신적 컨텐 츠의 개발이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 태권도가 K-Culture의 일부 분으로 문화콘텐츠 저변확대를 통해 태권도 산업의 발전이 빠르게 확산 할 수 있음을 시사하였다. 셋째, 태권도 산업의 투자 및 정책적 지원 확 대를 통해 태권도 산업발전 확대가 가능함을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구결 과를 통해 한국의 태권도가 세계속에서 더욱 확장해 나가며 많은 사람 들에게 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 한국의 근본 기반산업으로 발전할 수 있기를 기대하는 바이다.
