The purpose of this study is to examine trends in domestic sports film research. To this end, 79 domestic sports film studies were collected and analyzed by classifying them into four categories: sports movie names, sports events, research topics, and academic fields. The results are as follow. First, the names of sports movies are 4th place, Marathon, and Perfect Game. Second, the sports events are baseball, boxing, and dance, in that order. Third, the research topics were studied in the order of ideology/nationalism social values/meanings, gender, and violence. Fourth, the academic fields are physical education and humanities, followed by cultural studies, film studies, and others. Most Sports movies are based on true stories. Researcher also conducted studies by connecting sports movies to social issues. Sports movies often take the form of asking questions about sports, with the movie providing answers. The movie shows solutions to sports-related problems. It is expected that in the future, various sports movies will be produced, and researchers will publish many studies using these movies as texts.

이 글의 목적은 우리 스포츠 영화 연구의 동향과 방향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 학술연구정보서비스(RISS)에서 ‘스포츠 영화’를 키 워드 검색하여 얻은 79편을 스포츠 영화명, 스포츠 종목, 연구 주제, 학 문 분야 등으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스 포츠 영화명은 <4등>, <말아톤>, <퍼팩트 게임> 순으로 연구되었다. 둘 째, 스포츠 종목은 야구, 복싱, 춤 순이다. 셋째, 연구 주제는 이데올로기 /민족주의, 사회적 가치/의미, 교육적 의미/방법/효과, 젠더/여성/남녀평 등, 엘리트스포츠/폭력 순으로 연구되었다. 넷째, 학문 분야는 체육학, 인 문학. 문화연구, 영화학, 기타 순이다. 대부분의 스포츠 영화는 실화를 바탕으로 제작했기에 연구자들은 사회적 쟁점과 영화를 연결하여 연구 하였다. 또한, 스포츠 영화는 ‘스포츠 묻고 영화가 답하는’ 형식을 보 이며, 스포츠 문제의 해결방안을 영화가 보여주고 있다. 앞으로 다양한 주제의 스포츠 영화가 만들어질 것이고, 연구자들 또한 그 영화를 텍스 트로 하여 더 많은 연구를 진행할 것이다.
