This study is a qualitative meta-synthesis study of successful aging. The purpose of the study is to analyze qualitative studies related to successful aging published in Korea and discover evidence-based agendas that can support successful aging. The researcher approached with a qualitative analytical meta-synthesis study presented by Aguirre and Bolton (2014). After qualitative research evaluation, a total of 9 qualitative studies were analyzed. As a result of the study, 76 reinterpretation categories emerged and presented them as 16 category integrations. A highly abstraction of the proposed category integration resulted in the emergence of six key categories. The core categories were selective satisfaction, liberation from obsession, deepening religion toward a transcendent world, subjective self-creation, last put in the second half of life, and other-oriented identity.Based on the research results, new discussions on successful aging were made and support measures were suggested.

본 연구는 성공적 노화에 대한 질적 메타 종합 연구이다. 연구에서는 국내에서 발표 된 성공적 노화와 관련된 질적 연구물들을 분석하고 성공적 노화를 지지할 수 있는 증거 기반 아젠다를 발굴하고자 하는 목적을 지닌다. 연구자는 Aguirre와 Bolton(2014) 이 제시한 질적 해석적 메타 종합 연구로 접근했다. 질적 연구물 평정을 거쳐 모두 9편의 질적 연구물을 대상으로 분석했다. 연구 결과 69개의 재해석 범주가 출현했고 이를 16개의 범주 통합으로 제시했다. 제시된 범주 통 합을 고도로 추상화하여 6개의 핵심범주가 출현했다. 핵심범주는 선택적 만족감, 집착 에서의 해방, 초월 세계를 향한 종교성의 심화, 주체적 자기 창조, 인생 후반의 라스트 스퍼트, 타자 지향적 정체성으로 나타났다. 연구 결과에 근거하여 성공적 노화에 대한 새로운 논의를 했고 지지 방안을 제시했다.
