Software (SW) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are bringing about revolutionary changes across various industries, and South Korea is focusing on fostering human resources to lead the SW·AI era. According to a study analyzing the effectiveness of the 「Digital New SAC Camp」, organized by the Ministry of Education, 17 city and provincial offices of education, and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science, first and second-year high school students engaged in SW·AI education programs showed significantly increased interest, self-efficacy, and outcome expectations, and value perception in SW·AI, as well as their career goals, thereby positively impacting attitudes and the enhancement of digital capabilities. This emphasizes the importance of investing in educational programs to strengthen digital competencies for the digital era.

SW(소프트웨어)와 AI(인공지능)는 오늘날 산업 전반에 혁신적인 영향을 미치고 있으며, 이에 우리나라 정부와 기업들은 SW·AI 시대를 주도할 인재 양성에 주력하고 있다. 본 연구는 2022년 교육부, 17개의 시·도교육청 그리고 한국과학창의재단이 주최한 방학 중 SW·AI 교육 캠프인 「디지털 새싹 캠프」의 효과성을 검증하였다. 고등학교 1, 2학년을 대상으로 실험 및 통제집단을 설정하여 SW·AI 교육 프로그램의 효과를 분석한 결과, 교육 프로그램에 참여한 학생들의 SW·AI에 대한 흥미, 자기효능감, 결과기대, 가치인식, 그리고 진로 목표 등이 유의하게 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 SW·AI 교육 프로그램이 학생들의 디지털 역량과 태도 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 가리키며, 교육 프로그램을 구축하고 투자하는 것이 디지털 역량을 향상시키고 강화하는 데 중요하다는 사실을 시사한다.
