As the global automobile industry expands the market for future vehicles due to strengthening environmental regulations and technological innovation, domestic and foreign automakers have declared that they will stop selling internal combustion engine vehicles between 2040 and 2050, and the transition to future vehicles is becoming a necessity rather than an option. Accordingly, domestic auto parts companies are attempting to transform into future vehicle companies through the business reorganization approval system under the Business Revitalization Act. This study analyzes the business performance of auto parts companies that have been approved to convert to future vehicles through the business reorganization approval system and those that have not been approved, dividing financial performance into three indicators of growth, profitability, and stability, and presenting t-tests and regression models to analyze the business performance of business reorganization approval. As a result, we found that the business performance of auto parts companies with business reorganization approval has been improving positively than that of auto parts companies without business reorganization approval in terms of growth and stability, but not in terms of profitability. The significance of this study is that it identified the performance and status of auto parts companies in crisis and conducted a study on the effect of business reorganization approval. In addition, this study revealed the justification and continuation of the program and the need to expand support for the transition to future vehicles, providing implications for future policies and support projects.

전 세계 자동차 산업이 환경규제 강화 및 기술혁신에 따라 미래차 시장이 확대됨에 따라 국내 외 완성차 기업들은 2040년~2050년을 목표로 내연기관차 판매 중단 선언 등 미래차 전환은 선택이 아닌 필수상황으로 바뀌어 가고 있다. 이에 따라 국내 자동차 부품기업은 기업활력법에 의한 사업재편 승인제도를 통해 미래차 기업으로의 전환을 시도하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 사업재편 승인제도를 통해 미래차 전환 계획을 승인받은 자동차 부품기업과 그렇지 않은 미승인 자동차 부품기업을 대상으로 기업 경영성과 중 재무성과를 성장성, 수익성, 안정성 3가지 지표로 나누어 t-test와 회귀분석 모형을 제시하여 사업재편 승인에 따른 경영성과를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 사업재편 승인 자동차 부품기업의 경영성과가 성장성과 안정성에 한해서는 미승인 자동차 부품기업보다 긍정적으로 개선되어가고 있음을 확인하였으나, 수익성 지표에서는 확인하지 못하였다. 본 연구는 위기에 처한 자동차 부품기업들의 사업재편 승인에 따른 성과 및 현황을 파악하고 사업재편 승인의 효과에 대한 연구를 진행했다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 그리고 본 제도의 당위성과 지속 필요성, 미래차 전환에 대한 지원 확대 필요성을 밝혀 향후 정책 및 지원사업에 시사점을 제시하였다.
