The purpose of this study is to find the effects of social appearance anxiety on body image among women in their 20s and 30s and the mediating effects of self-efficacy. For data analysis, SPSS 26.0 program was utilized. To look into general characteristics, frequency analysis was conducted. For validity, exploratory factor analysis was carried out. For reliability, Cronbach’s α was analyzed. As study methods, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. As a result, self-efficacy had partial mediating effects on appearance evaluation and body satisfaction as body image factors, but did not had any mediating effects on appearance orientation.

연구의 목적은 여성을 대상으로 사회적 외모불안이 신체이미지에 미치는 영향과 자기효능감의 매개효과 를 살펴보고자 하였으며, 자료분석은 SPSS 26.0 통계프로그램을 이용하였다. 일반적 특성은 빈도분석을 실시하였 으며 타당도는 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도 검증을 위하여 Cronbach’s α값을 확인하였다. 연구방법으로는 상관분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 2,30대 여성의 사회적 외모불안이 신체이미지에 미치는 영향과 자기효능감의 매개 효과를 살펴본 결과, 사회적 외모불안이 신체이미지(외모평가, 신체만족)요인에는 자기효능감은 부분매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났고, 외모지향요인에서만 매개역할을 하지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
