The National Park Resource Survey has been conducted every five years under the Natural Parks Act. Currently, the fourth survey planned from 2019 to 2023 is being promoted. Research on geomorphological and geological resources in the landscape sector has been conducted since the 1990s, but it is difficult to compare and analyze survey resources by round because systematic and consistent survey standards are not applied compared to natural ecosystem surveys. In addition, as the concept of preservation and utilization of geoheritages have been changed since the introduction of geoparks, the need for an improved evaluation has emerged. The survey introduced evaluation standards and methods newly applied in the geomorphological and geological fields of the National Park Resource Survey from 2021. And discussed the effects of the revised evaluation on the geomorphological and geological heritage of Odaesan National Park. A total of 46 resources were surveyed in the Woljeongsa, Sogeumgang, and Gyebangsan districts of Odaesan National Park, and the distribution of all resources by grade was 2.2% for the first grade, 6.5% for the second grade, and 50% and 41.3% for the third and fourth grades, respectively, which account for more than 90% of the total. Class distribution and detailed survey results contribute to the qualitative and quantitative improvement of geomorphological and geological resource information, and could provide the basis for landscape resource surveys in other national parks.

국립공원자원조사는 자연공원법에 따라 5년 주기로 수행되며 현재는 2019년부터 2023년까지 계획된 제4기 자연자원조사가 수행되고 있다. 경관 분야에 해당하는 국립공원 내 지형과 지질자원에 대한 조사는 1990년대부터 수행되어왔으나 국립공원의 자연생태계 조사에 비교 해 체계적이고 일관된 조사 기준이 적용되지 않아 기수별 조사 자원 간의 비교분석이 어렵다. 또한, 지질공원 도입 이후 지질유산의 보전 및 활용에 대한 개념이 변화함에 따라 개선된 평가 체계가 필요하였다. 이번 조사에서는 2021년부터 공원자원조사의 지형⋅지질 분야에 새롭게 도입된 유산에 대한 가치평가 기준과 방법을 소개하고, 이를 오대산국립공원 지형⋅지질유산에 적용하여 수정된 가치평가 기준의 도입 효과에 대해 논의하였다. 오대산국립공원의 월정사, 소금강, 계방산 지구에서 조사된 지형⋅지질자원은 총 46개로 전체 자원의 등급별 분포는 1등급 이 1개(2.2%), 2등급은 3개(6.5%), 3등급과 4등급은 각각 50%와 41.3%로 전체의 약 90% 이상으로 나타났다. 등급 분포 및 상세 조사 결과는 지형 및 지질자원 정보의 질적, 양적 향상에 기여하며, 다른 국립공원 지형⋅지질자원 조사의 기틀을 제공할 수 있다.
