The main objective of this study was to explore the winning and losing factors of international youth handball matches by utilizing the match records of the World Handball Championships provided by the International Handball Federation (IHF). 108 matches of the 2022 Women's Youth World Championship and 111 matches of the 2023 Men's Youth World Championship were selected as 33 independent variables and 2 dependent variables based on official data. The collected data were subjected to independent samples t-test and logistic regression analysis using SPSS Ver. 25.0 program, and the following results were obtained. In girls' youth matches, 9-meter success rate, FB goals, attempts, success rate, AS, ST, and Blk had a positive effect on victory. In the boys' youth game, 6-meter goals, success rate, wing goals, FB goals, tries, and success rate, and LD goals, tries, and success rate were positively associated with victory. Logistic regression analysis showed that 6-meter goals, attempts, LD goals, attempts, AS, TF, ST, and Blk were significant factors in winning and losing in the Women's Youth game. In the boys' youth game, 9-meter goals, attempts, wing goals, attempts, success rate, AS, PC, TF, and ST were found to be significant factors in winning and losing. In conclusion, AS, ST, and Blk were found to increase the probability of winning in youth matches, while TF was a common factor that decreased the probability of winning. This suggests that not only positive but also negative factors affect the outcome of a match.

본 연구는 국제핸드볼연맹(IHF)에서 제공하는 세계핸드볼선수권대회 경기기록을 활용하여 청소년 핸드볼 국제 경기의 승패 요인을 탐색하는 것을 주된 목적으로 두었다. 2022년 여자 청소년 세계선수권대회 108경기, 2023년 남자 청소년 세계선수권대회 111경기를 대상으로 하였으며, 공식 자료를 바탕으로 33개 독립변인과 2개 종속 변인으로 선정 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Ver. 25.0 프로그램을 이용하여 독립표본 t-검정, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 다음 과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 여자 청소년 경기에서 9m 성공률, FB 득점, 시도, 성공률, AS, ST, Blk가 승리에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 남자 청소년 경기에서는 6m 득점, 성공률, Wing 득점, FB 득점, 시도, 성공률, LD 득점, 시도, 성공률이 승리에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과, 여자 청소년 경기에서 6m 득점, 시도, LD 득점, 시도, AS, TF, ST, Blk가 에서 승패에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 남자 청소년 경기에서는 9m 득점, 시도, Wing 득점, 시도, 성공률, AS, PC, TF, ST가 승패에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 청소년 경기에서 AS, ST, Blk은 승리 의 확률을 높여 주는 반면, TF는 승리 확률을 낮추는 공통적 요인으로 확인되었다. 이는 경기 승패에 있어 긍정적인 요인 뿐만 아니라 부정적인 요인도 경기 결과에 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다.
