The study was conducted to lay the foundation for preparing strategies for improving their pain management knowledge and attitude by analyzing the pain management knowledge and attitude of nursing students at graduation. The subject of the study was a fourth-year student at a nursing college, and data were collected in December, the time of graduation in 2021. For the data, through a structured questionnaire, the knowledge and attitude of pain management, demographic and major-related characteristics were investigated. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0. As a result of the study, the pain management knowledge and attitude score of nursing students at graduation was about 67.6 points out of 100.Students who completed hospice nursing courses showed higher levels (t=4.321, p<.001). Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that it is necessary to develop and apply major-related subjects or expand educational content to increase the level of knowledge and attitude toward pain management.

본 연구는 졸업 시점 간호대학생의 통증관리 지식 및 태도를 분석함으로써 이들의 통증관리 지식 및 태 도 향상을 위한 전략 마련에 초석을 제공하고자 수행되었다. 연구대상자는 일개 간호대학 4학년 재학생이었으며, 2021년 졸업 시점인 12월에 자료를 수집하였다. 자료는 구조화된 설문지를 통하여 통증관리 지식과 태도와 인구사 회학적 및 전공 관련 특성을 조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 19.0을 이용하여 기술통계 및 t-test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 졸업 시점 간호대학생의 통증관리 지식 및 태도 점수는 100점 만점 기준 67.6점 정도의 수 준으로 나타났으며, 호스피스 간호 교과목을 이수한 학생들에서 더 높은 수준을 보였다(t=4.321, p<.001). 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 통증관리에 대한 지식 및 태도 수준을 높이기 위한 전공 관련 교과목의 개발 및 적용 또는 교육 컨텐츠의 확대 적용이 필요함을 제언한다.
