Based on the intercultural experiences of research participants in the multicultural education field, the Purpose of this study is to understand the perceptions and practical experiences of public officials in education administration, seek ways to revitalize intercultural competencies, and propose policy and practical measures for educational administration services in multicultural society. The subjects of the study were six school education experts consisting of teachers and public officials in education administration, who conducted in-depth interviews. As a result of the study, the intercultural perception of public officials in education administration was low due to alienation of education and unfamiliarity with concepts, but there were differences depending on individual experiences in multicultural activities. In addition, the experience of intercultural practice of public officials in education administration was a lot of workload and difficulty in communication, but they were actively handling their work and felt rewarded. This study is meaningful in that it understood the Intercultural perception and practical experience of public officials in education administration and suggested ways to revitalize Intercultural competencies in order to create a multicultural-friendly educational environment.

본 연구는 다문화 교육현장에서 연구참여자들의 상호문화적 경험을 바탕으로 교육 행정직공무원들의 상호문화에 대한 인식 및 실천 경험을 이해하고, 상호문화역량의 증 진방안을 모색하여 다문화사회 교육행정서비스를 위한 정책적·실천적 방안을 제시하 고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 교원 및 교육행정직공무원으로 구성된 학교교육 전문가 6인 으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 교육행정직공무원의 상호문화 인식은 교육의 소외와 개념의 낯섦으로 낮은 편으로 나타났으나, 개개인의 다문화 활동 경험에 따라 차이가 있었다. 또한, 교육행정직공무원의 상호문화 실천 경험은 업무량이 많고 의사 소통이 어려워 시간이 많이 소요되지만 적극적으로 업무를 처리하며 보람을 느끼고 있 었다. 본 연구는 다문화 친화적 교육환경 조성을 위해 교육행정직공무원의 상호문화 인식과 실천 경험을 이해하고, 상호문화역량 활성화 방안을 제시하였다는데 의미가 있다.
