119 emergency medical services(EMS) personnel are engaged in emergency medical duties under high stress and mental burden. Managing these negative effects of 119 EMS personnel can affect the quality of patient care. Therefore, this study identified the resilience, empathy skills, and infection control fatigue of 119 EMS personnel and analyzed the correlation. In 2023, data on resilience, empathy skills, and infection control fatigue were collected using a structured questionnaire for 91 119 EMS personnel in the metropolitan area. As a result of the study, 119 EMS personnel showed slightly higher resilience, low empathy, and high infection control fatigue. The higher the resilience of 119 EMS personnel, the higher the empathy ability. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare and implement measures to increase the resilience and empathy skills of 119 EMS personnel and to reduce infection control fatigue.

119 구급대원은 높은 스트레스와 정신적 부담을 겪으며 응급의료 직무에 임하고 있다. 119 구급대원의 이러한 부정적 영향을 관리함으로써 환자 처치의 질에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 119 구급대원의 회복 탄력성, 공감역량과 감염관리 피로도를 파악하고 그 상관관계를 분석하였다. 2023년 수도권 소재 119 구급대원 91 명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여, 회복탄력성, 공감역량, 감염관리 피로도에 대한 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과 119 구급대원은 회복탄력성이 약간 높았으며, 공감역량은 낮고, 감염관리 피로도는 높은 것으로 나타났 다. 119 구급대원의 회복탄력성이 높을수록 공감역량이 높았다. 따라서 119 구급대원의 회복탄력성과 공감역량을 높이고 감염관리 피로도를 낮출 수 있는 대책을 마련하고 실행해야 할 것이다.
