This study, it was conducted to provide basic data for the establishment of history for Taekwondo, which has yet to be clearly established. The results of the literature analysis are as follows. The history of Taekwondo is mainly history and factualism. First, the History Hall argues that taekwondo is a traditional martial art of Korea based on historical materials such as the Subakdo Wall Paintings of the Mooyongchong, the Yellow Sea Wall Paintings, the Geumgang Historic movement, the martial art of Mooyeabotonggee, the martial art of Mooyeabotonggee kwonbupchultoe. Taking a different stance from this, the Realist Academy argues that the origin of taekwondo was derived from the karate of Japan during the Japanese colonial period, based on the fact that most of the founding fathers of the five great temples (Cheongdokwan, Changmu Gwan, Jeon Sang-sup, Roh Byung-jik and Hwang Ki) who led the early spread of taekwondo were karate. Claims related to the birth and origins of taekwondo have so far been at odds with the academic community in two ways and have failed to reach a conclusion.

본 연구의 목적은 명확하게 정립되고 있지 못하는 태권도의 역사정립 을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이에 따른 문헌분석 결과는 다음 과 같다. 태권도의 역사사관은 전통주의사관과 사실주의사관이 주를 이 룬다. 첫째, 전통주의사관에서는 무용총의 수박도벽화, 황해도 벽화, 금 강역사상동작, 무예보통지 권법 등의 사료를 근거로 태권도는 한국전통 의 무예라는 것을 주장하고 있다. 이와 상이한 입장을 취하고 있는 사실 주의사관에서는 초기 태권도의 전파를 주도하였던 5대관(청도관, 창무관, 전상섭, 노병직, 황기)의 창립사범이 대부분 가라데 수련자였다는 점을 근거로 태권도의 시초가 일제강점기 시절 일본의 가라데에서 파생되었 다고 주장하고 있다. 태권도의 발생 및 기원과 관련된 주장은 학계에서 도 현재까지 두 가지로 상충되며 결론을 내지 못하고 있다
