The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of exchanges between prisoners and their children and the explanatory factors. For this purpose, latent group analysis and general structural equation model were used. As a result of the analysis, first, 64.9% of the prisoners were interacting with their children, and correspondence was used the most. Second, the type of exchange of prisoners can be divided into a passive group and an active group. Overall, the active group used a variety of child exchange methods compared to the passive group. Third, the higher the age, the better the relationship with the child caregiver, and the more female than male, the higher the possibility of belonging to the active group than the passive group in the case of recognizing the fact of acceptance. Based on these research results, measures to expand exchanges between children of inmates and their implications were proposed.

본 연구는 수용자의 자녀 교류 유형과 설명 요인을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 잠재집단분석과 일반 구조방정식 모형을 사용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 수용자의 64.9%는 자녀와 교류하고 있었고, 서신이 가장 많이 활용되었다. 둘째, 수용자의 교류 유형은 소극집단과 적극집단으로 구분할 수 있다. 적극집단은 전 반적으로 소극집단에 비해 다양한 자녀 교류 방법을 사용하고 있었다. 셋째, 남 성보다 여성이, 나이가 많을수록, 자녀양육자 관계가 좋을수록, 수용사실을 인지 한 경우에 소극집단보다 적극집단에 속할 가능성이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로, 수용자의 자녀 교류 확대 방안과 시사점을 제안하였다.
