This article aims to define the concept of a Hangeul cultural heritage database, and then explore the process of its development and utilization. The Hangeul cultural heritage database is a concept that collectively refers to language data written in Hangeul, including literature data. Therefore, the classification system must not be literature-based, and it can be difficult to achieve text alone in collection and utilization. However, in reality, most of Hangeul’s cultural heritage is literature data, so we first searched for ways to develop a raw database and a corpus annotation database using literature data. In addition to using the database, we examined the classification system and information provision method required to utilize the database.

이 글은 한글 문화유산 데이터베이스의 개념을 정의한 후 이를 구축하는 과정과 활용하는 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 한글 문화유산 데이터베이스는 문헌 자료를 포함해 한글로 작성된 언어 자료를 총칭하는 개념이다. 따라서 문헌 중심의 분류 체계와는 다른 분류 체계가 필요하며, 수집과 활용의 대상을 텍스트만으로 한정 하기도 어렵다. 하지만 실제로는 한글 문화유산의 대부분이 문헌 자료이므로 우선적 으로 문헌 자료를 활용해 원시 데이터베이스와 말뭉치 주석 데이터베이스를 구축하는 방법을 모색해 보았다. 데이터베이스의 구축에 그치지 않고 구축한 데이터베이스를 활용하기 위해 필요한 분류 체계와 정보 제공 방식도 함께 살펴보았다.
