The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of democratic management in the impact of social entrepreneurship on sustainability. The method of this study was conducted with a total of 219 social enterprise workers. Data analysis was conducted to analyze the frequency of demographic characteristics and to analyze the reliability of social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and democratic operation, correlation for the relationship between variables, and the mediating effect of democratic operation on the impact of social entrepreneurship on sustainability. To find out, Macro Model 4 and the indirect effect of bootstrapping were analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. First, social entrepreneurship, democratic operation, and sustainability showed a statistically significant correlation. Second, it was found that democratic operation through social entrepreneurship had a positive effect on the sustainability of social enterprises. Suggestions for future research require research on social entrepreneurship. Additional studies that can improve the sustainability of social enterprises should be continued. In addition, it is intended to provide data on sustainable management of social enterprises to understand the importance of social entrepreneurship and management competency of social enterprise management from various angles and to improve organizational performance.

본 연구목적은 사회적 기업가정신이 지속가능성이 미치는 영향에서 민주적 운영의 매개 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구의 방법은 사회적기업 종사자 총 219명을 대상으로 진행되었다. 자료 분석은 인구학적 특성에 대해 빈도분석과 사회적 기업가정신, 지속가능성, 민주적 운영에 대한 신뢰도 분석, 변인 간의 관계를 위해 상관관계, 사회적 기업가정신이 지속가능성에 미치는 영향에 대한 민주적 운영의 매개 효과를 알아보기 위해 Macro Model 4와 부트스트래핑 간접효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회적 기업가정신, 민주적 운영, 지속가능성은 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 둘째, 사회적 기업가정신을 통한 민주적 운영이 사회적기업의 지속가능성에 정적 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 향후 연구에 대한 제언은 사회적 기업가정신 연구가 필요하다. 사회적기업의 지속가능성을 향상시킬 수 있는 추가적인 연구들이 지속되어야 한다. 또한, 사회적기업 경영진의 경영역량과 사회적 기업가정신의 중요성을 다각적으로 이해하는 것과 조직성과 향상을 위한 사회적기업의 지속가능경영의 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
