The purpose of this study is to examine the moderated mediation effect of relationship safety and behavioral control in the relation of the victimization of domestic violence in childhood and the perpetration of physical dating violence. Based on the Riggs and O’Leary’s background-situational model, the victimization of domestic violence in childhood as a background component and the relationship safety as a situational model are measured. As a result, the victimization of domestic violence in childhood has positively affected the perpetration of physical dating violence, and the behavioral control has partially mediated in the relation of the victimization of domestic violence and the perpetration of physical dating violence. Also, the relationship safety has moderated the relation of the victimization of domestic violence and the behavioral control. Lastly, the behavioral control has mediated in the relation of the victimization of domestic violence and the perpetration of physical dating violence, and this effect has been moderated by the level of the relationship safety. Based on the the results, the effective prevention and intervention programs about the dating violence and the domestic violence has been suggested.

이 연구는 아동기 시절의 가정폭력 피해경험과 신체적 데이트폭력 가해경험 관계에 서 행동통제의 매개효과를 확인하고 그 경로에서 관계안정성의 조절효과를 검증하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 이에 Riggs와 O’Leary(1989)가 제시한 배경-상황 모델을 기반 으로 배경적 요소로 가정폭력 피해경험을, 상황적 요소로 관계안정성을 측정하여 신체 적 데이트폭력 가해에 영향을 미치는지 검증하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 가정폭력 피해경 험은 신체적 데이트폭력 가해에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것을 파악하였고, 행동통제는 가정폭력 피해경험과 신체적 데이트폭력 가해 관계에서 부분매개효과를 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 가정폭력 피해경험과 행동통제 관계에서 관계안정성은 조절효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 가정폭력 피해경험이 행동통제를 매개하여 신체적 데이트폭력 가해에 영향을 미치고, 그 경로에서 관계안정성의 조건부 간접효과가 통 계적으로 유의미하게 조절하는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 데이트 폭력을 예방과 개입할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.
