This study was conducted to investigate and analyze dental hygienists working at dental institutions in Busan and Gyeongnam about their perceptions and clinical use of oral care products through recommendations, educational contents, or usage time. The survey was conducted from June 1 to October 31, 2021, and 216 copies were used for final data analysis. The SPSS (ver.23.0 for windows, Chicago, IL. USA) statistical program was used for the analysis of the results, and the significance level was 0.05 or less, which was statistically significant. As a result of the study, clinical dental hygienists' recommendations for oral care products were high at 100.0%, 86.6%, and 86.1%, respectively, and the more time it took to train, the more diverse the contents of oral care. In order to expand recommendations and efficiently utilize oral care products, efforts should be made to improve the environment of medical institutions, promote dental hygienists' willingness to implement oral care education, and promote vocational awareness as oral health educators.

본 연구는 부산·경남 소재의 치과진료기관에서 근무하는 치과위생사를 대상으로 임상 치과위생사들의 구 강관리용품 권장이나 교육내용 또는 활용시간에 대한 실태조사 및 분석을 통하여 구강관리용품에 대한 인지와 임 상적 활용에 대한 생각을 알아보고자 시행하였다. 2021년 6월 1일～10월 31일까지 설문조사를 시행하였으며 최종 자료 분석에는 216부를 활용하였다. 결과분석에는 SPSS(ver. 23.0 for windows, Chicago, IL. USA) 통계프로그 램을 사용하여, 유의수준은 0.05 이하에서 유의검정을 실시하여 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 하였다. 연구결과 임상 치과위생사들의 구강관리용품 권장은 칫솔질과 치실, 치간칫솔에서 각각 100.0%, 86.6%, 86.1%로 높은 응답을 보 였으며, 교육에 소요하는 시간이 많을수록 구강관리방법에 대한 교육내용이 다양하였다. 이에 구강관리용품 권장 의 확대와 효율적인 활용을 위해 진료기관의 환경 개선과 더불어 치과위생사들의 구강관리교육에 대한 시행의지 와 구강보건교육가로서의 직업의식 고취를 위한 노력이 필요하며 더 나아가 대중의 구강건강증진을 위해 계속구 강관리의 중요성이 정착될 수 있는 방안 모색이 뒤따라야 할 것으로 사료된다.

INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
